Cover Genius is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a 5–6 person team responsible for the software behind RentalCover.com and TravelCover.com. You will accelerate user growth, ensure secure, scalable systems, and raise engineering standards across the stack (PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/React).

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Product, Marketing and Data teams, and contribute code across the stack while driving AI-enabled development practices in a fast-paced insurance tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in CS or Engineering with 7+ years in software engineering and 3+ in leadership.
• Strong back-end and front-end expertise in PHP/Laravel, React, TypeScript with API design and scalable services.
• Experience designing production systems, mentoring engineers and building high-performing teams.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and integrating AI into development workflows.

Responsabilités

• Own technical execution for RentalCover.com and TravelCover.com applications.
• Drive growth tech capabilities—acquisition, conversion, retention, revenue.
• Promote engineering excellence with testing, CI/CD, security, performance.
• Lead a culture of innovation and collaborative problem solving.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Infrastructure and Data/AI teams across time zones.
• Identify and integrate emerging technologies including AI tooling.
