Job summary

FemEdge Solutions is seeking an Onsite Engineering Manager to serve as the site-facing engineering interface for a major live industrial facility in Central Queensland. The role emphasizes field presence on the plant and hands-on leadership of brownfield/MOC work from identification to packaged delivery by a global team.

You will coordinate with operations, maintenance and reliability teams, translating site inputs into precise engineering deliverables while guiding offshore or remote teams.

Qualifications

• An engineering background across disciplines with exposure to Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) scopes.
• Strong experience on brownfield, live plant or heavy industrial sites.
• Working understanding of MOC-driven engineering, site constraints and operational safety.
• Ability to convert site inputs into clear engineering deliverables and defined scopes of work.
• Confidence engaging operations, maintenance, reliability and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary onsite engineering contact for project, operations and maintenance stakeholders
• Identify, prioritise and scope brownfield, MOC and small-to-medium engineering packages
• Lead site walkdowns and capture field data, constraints and assumptions
• Translate site requirements into clear, complete engineering inputs for an offshore delivery team
• Coordinate package kick-offs, work packaging, discipline alignment and delivery planning
• Manage technical queries, review comments and issue resolution between site and the design team
• Track progress, actions, risks and decisions across multiple packages
• Build client confidence through visible ownership, responsiveness and clear communication

We are seeking an Onsite Engineering Manager to act as the site-facing engineering interface on a major operating industrial facility in Central Queensland.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being on the plant, not behind a desk in a project office. You will be the trusted engineering point of contact for site stakeholders, shaping brownfield and Management of Change (MOC) work from first identification through to packaged delivery by a global engineering team.

What you will do

• Act as the primary onsite engineering contact for project, operations and maintenance stakeholders
• Identify, prioritise and scope brownfield, MOC and small-to-medium engineering packages

• RPEQ registration, or experience working alongside RPEQ and local compliance partners, is an advantage but not essential
