W3Global is seeking an Engineer in Queensland to design, plan, and execute engineering deliverables for infrastructure, industrial, or energy projects. The role offers high independence, technical leadership, and collaboration with clients and contractors to keep work within scope, on time, and on budget.
You will ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and environmental regulations, driving safety and quality across multi-discipline teams.
The Engineer is responsible for the design, planning, and execution of engineering deliverables for a range of infrastructure, industrial, or energy-related projects. Operating with a high degree of independence, this role involves technical leadership, project management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and environmental regulations.
The engineer is accountable for the delivery of engineering solution with strict adherence to engineering principles, applicable standards and in compliance with the QLD Engineering Act and Regulations. Operating with a high degree of independence, this role involves interaction with clients, internal stakeholders, and external contractors. As an Engineer, you'll drive engineering deliverables forward, ensure they're within scope, on time, and on budget.
Promote a culture of pro-active safety management
Perform personal risk assessments prior to engaging in site-based work and stop the work if the work is judged to be hazardous.Always maintain a sense of hazard awareness when working in industrial and other environments and respond to changed circumstances.
Comply with the our clients Integrated Management System
Maintain a reasonable standard of personal fitness to enable physical tasks to be completed in a safe manner.For example, site inspections may require walking many kilometres up and down stairs; forensic investigations may require disassembly and lifting of components; etc.
Complete workplace medicals, and drug and alcohol testing as required
Managing multi-discipline projects, while engaging with internal and external stakeholders
Ensure engineering deliverables are executed in alignment with our client Integrated Management System
Oversee the financial aspects of engineering deliverables, ensuring they are on budget and meet financial targets
Preparation of technical reports, tenders' specifications, and documents
Preparation of Project Proposals and Cost Estimates
Supervision and mentoring of junior team members
Manage assigned client relationships and contracts
Build and sustain long-term relationships with clients
Responsible for finding additional work opportunities with existing clients
Assist the management team with Business Development
Monitor engineering deliverables progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and objectives
RPEQ and or CPEng certification preferred or progressing towards accreditation
Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering
Demonstrated experience in managing engineering deliverable with a strong focus on quality, cost, and time management
Some understanding of small business management principals
Exceptional technical acumen in the engineering discipline
Ability to utilise engineering software tools relevant to the industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled in conflict resolution and negotiation
Proven ability to motivate and inspire team members
Ability to manage and retain client relationships, including upselling or finding additional work opportunities with existing clients
