ELMO Software Pty Ltd in Australia seeks a Technical Leader for Survey to guide a small engineering team while delivering high‑impact, scalable software. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will shape the technical roadmap, own delivery quality, mentor engineers and champion AI‑powered workflows.

This role blends hands‑on coding with leadership in a fast‑growing environment and offers a collaborative culture and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Proven team leadership in an Agile/Scrum setting.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies (Node.js, React, Kafka, PHP).
• Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code.
• Understanding of OOP, design patterns and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in a 50/50 hands‑on and leadership role, owning technical delivery quality.
• Partner with Product Owner to translate business needs into build‑ready specs.
• Own technical direction for the product area, including architecture and security.
• Plan and guide AI‑native delivery to accelerate development.
• Maintain code quality through reviews, standards, and automated gates.
• Oversee deployment safety, release readiness, and rollback strategies.
• Support team growth through coaching and feedback.
