Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a technically skilled engineer to provide support to staff and customers, develop knowledge in SEL processes, and perform testing on new and existing technology. The role emphasizes documentation of results and adherence to SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

The candidate should have programming experience, power systems knowledge, and proficiency with emulators and terminal emulation, plus strong documentation and teamwork

Qualifications

• Experience in programming and scripting files.
• Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems.
• Familiarity with emulators and logic analyzers.
• Proficient with Windows and serial port terminal emulation software.
• Practical knowledge of SEL protective relays & automation controllers.
• Ability to use Microsoft Visio.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work in a team.
