The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to support the delivery of safe, sustainable, efficient and compliant, Engineering Services at NGV International and NGV Australia and contribute to the planning of future facilities including The Fox: NGV Contemporary.
You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of efficient and effective Engineering Services (Essential, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Vertical Transportation) through a mix of inhouse and outsourced resourcing, to ensure safety and compliance, and maximise the life of the building assets. To be successful, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering coupled with proven experience and knowledge in the delivery of Engineering Services (Essential, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Vertical Transport) in public buildings. You have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Building Codes and possess a Construction Induction (White Card).
You are enthusiastic and committed, demonstrate capacity for sustained effort and hard work and set high standards of performance for self and others. You seek all relevant information for problem solving, liaise with stakeholders, analyse issues from different perspectives and propose workable solutions to problems. You negotiate and record various elements of contracts, monitor expenditure and service delivery against contract specifications and liaise with stakeholders.
Engineers Australia accreditation is desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of Digital Engineering, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and other Engineering systems is well regarded.
