Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking Civil, E&I, SMP Senior Engineers to oversee multidisciplinary construction of process facilities at a gallium production plant in WA. You will manage field engineering teams, coordinate with procurement and construction to meet schedule and budget, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Applicants should have tertiary qualifications in Civil, E&I, or SMP Engineering and 3+ years in a similar role, with construction project

Responsibilities

• Liaise with client representatives and internal stakeholders on technical queries and scheduling.
• Monitor design changes and assess impact on budget and schedule.
• Prepare work schedules and material requisitions.
• Review TDQR and approvals, and maintain related registers.
• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans and project procedures.
• Ensure quality requirements and procedures are followed.
• Review Scope of Work to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
• Lead a team of personnel.

Civmec has been awarded the construction contract for the gallium production plant at Alcoa’s Wagerup Alumina Refinery in WA and we’re looking to strengthen our project delivery team.

We’re seeking Civil, E&I, SMP Senior Engineers to oversee the delivery of multidisciplinary construction of the plant’s process facilities, including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works, along with the process building, tanks, laboratory and supporting infrastructure.

Working on a 5:2 DIDO roster in Southwest WA you’ll oversee the management of project field engineering team and manage the interface with procurement and construction to support project completion on time and within budget.

The Role

• Liaise with client representatives and internal stakeholders regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries.
• Monitor and review design changes to assess the effect on project budget and schedule.
• Prepare work schedules and material requisitions.
• Review and approve technical deviation/query requests and maintain TDQR register.
• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans and associated project-specific procedures.
• Ensure that quality requirements are adhered to and that procedures are followed.
• Review Scope of Work (SOW) documents and ensure project specifications and code requirements are covered within the SOW.
• Lead an assigned group of personnel.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil, E&I, SMP Engineering.
• 3 years+ in a similar role.
• Previous experience in construction projects (Mining/Oil&Gas industries preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
