DRA Global is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Perth-based engineering team. You will develop and implement electrical systems across diverse projects, delivering high-quality designs that optimise performance, reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute through all stages of the design process and collaborate closely with project stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an engineering detailed design environment.
• Demonstrated experience delivering electrical engineering designs across a variety of mineral processing projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed design of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, communications and control systems.
• Apply electrical engineering principles to develop compliant and efficient design solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, project teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Utilise software to develop and validate designs, perform load calculations and assess protection/coordination.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews to ensure quality and design integrity.
• Review electrical designs to verify accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgets and schedules while communicating with stakeholders.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineerto join our growing engineering team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing electrical systems across a range of projects, delivering high-quality detailed designs that optimise performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to all stages of the design process while collaborating closely with project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed design of electrical systems, including. Power distribution systems, Lighting systems, Communications systems and Control systems.
• Apply sound electrical engineering principles to develop compliant and efficient design solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to clarify design requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Utilise electrical engineering software to develop and validate designs, perform load calculations, and assess protection and coordination requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews and peer evaluations to ensure quality assurance and design integrity.
• Review electrical designs and documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Manage project budgets and schedules while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend mandatory training and compliance requirements.
• Uphold organisational policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
• Perform additional duties as reasonably required by leadership.
