Job summary

St Francis Xavier Early Years OSHC in Mackay is seeking a part-time OSHC Assistant to support children before and after school and during vacation care. The role requires a Diploma in Early Childhood or an ACECQA‑approved qualification, with age-based salary rates applying for under 21.

Commencement is as soon as possible. Hours are 20-22 per week, with a competitive hourly rate of $30.02–$32.46, and Applications Close on 28 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood or ACECQA approved equivalent required.
• Prior study or work in OSHC/early years is advantageous.
• Commitment to Catholic school ethos and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of quality education programs under My Time, Our Place framework.
• Provide direct supervision and support to children in before/after school and vacation care.
• Maintain inviting, safe environments and support children's wellbeing and learning.
• Ensure cleanliness of OSHC spaces and equipment.
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety.
