Job summary

We are seeking an organised and detail-focusedEnforcement Processing Support Officerto join ourCommunity Complianceteam within theCity Inspectorate Branch.

The Enforcement Processing Support Officer provides essential administrative and operational support to the Enforcement Processing function, ensuring infringement-related information is processed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.

About the team:

The City Inspectorate branch is responsible for enforcement of the City’s standards and local laws, across building, community, public safety and environmental health compliance to protect safety and amenity for the City’s residents and visitors.

The Community Compliance business unit is responsible for:

  • Patrolling and enforcing parking laws in paid parking and timed parking areas, off-street regulated parking areas, designated disabled parking bays, and respond to and investigate complaints and breaches of parking regulations.
  • Reviewing and managing unpaid parking fines and related disputes.
  • Delivering animal management initiatives to residents including patrols and enforcement, impounding and off leash facilities, pet education, and complaints management, to ensure animals are appropriately cared for and managed in compliance with legislation.
About the role:

As the Enforcement Processing Support Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the effective delivery of enforcement activities across Community Compliance and the City Inspectorate Branch.

You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of infringement information, conducting vehicle registration searches, maintaining records and databases, supporting compliance and audit activities, and assisting with reporting and performance monitoring.

Working in a high-volume environment, you will need to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will also work with sensitive and confidential information and are expected to maintain a strong commitment to information security and legislative compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Generate and process infringement notices in accordance with legislative requirements, policies and procedures.

  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and contributing to efficient and effective enforcement processes.
  • Experience inlocal government, regulatory services, compliance, enforcement processing, infringement administration or a similar high-volume administrative environment will be highly regarded.
  • Certificate III Business Administration or relevant experience.
