Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries.
• 5+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost/benefit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single-threaded owner for grid connection delivery across AWS data centers in Melbourne.
• Lead relationships with TNSPs, DNSPs, and regulators to secure grid capacity and negotiate connection agreements.
• Coordinate across internal teams to align power infrastructure delivery with site schedules.
• Conduct power due diligence for new data center sites, assessing grid capacity and redundancy.
• Develop and negotiate utility contracts and energy services agreements.
• Own technical grid compliance across the portfolio with relevant standards.
• Interface with government bodies and regulators to obtain approvals and influence policy.
• Manage capital budgets for power infrastructure delivery and cost optimization.
• Develop strategies to reduce energy costs and improve supply resilience.
