Job summary

The Australian Energy Regulator is seeking a data-savvy Analyst to support the DMO with data collection and analysis, delivering insights to inform energy policy and market operations.

You will engage with colleagues, manage competing priorities, and contribute to improving workflows while communicating complex energy market information clearly to diverse audiences. Australian citizenship and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship is required.
• Ability to work with limited direction in a fast-paced environment.
• Security clearance at the required level or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Work flexibly and confidently, independently and with the DMO teams.
• Support data collection and analysis to develop insights and trends.
• Communicate complex energy market information clearly to varied audiences.
• Coordinate consultation and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Foster constructive relationships with internal stakeholders and teams.
• Demonstrate initiative and sound judgement to manage competing priorities.
• Contribute to improving AER workflows and processes.
• Support regulatory process development for changing energy markets.
