Job summary
WSP in Australia invites a skilled engineer to advance control and instrumentation designs for renewable and conventional energy projects. Based in Brisbane or Melbourne, you’ll work on CAD-derived concepts, deliver scalable PLC/DCS/SCADA solutions, and engage with clients across a range of energy initiatives.
You’ll join a multidisciplinary team, support testing and commissioning, and progressively own project deliverables while pursuing Chartered status if desired.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or related Engineering discipline.
- 2-6 years' experience in control systems, automation, instrumentation, or power generation projects.
- Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, or industrial communications systems.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to design and delivery of control and instrumentation systems for energy projects.
- Develop PLC, DCS, and SCADA solutions for industrial applications.
- Work with Modbus, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, OPC, IEC 61850 communications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across electrical and power systems.
- Assist with engineering studies, reports, specifications, and design docs.
- Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Participate in site visits and client engagements to deliver practical solutions.
