Job summary

Carejobz Pty Ltd is recruiting a Nurse Unit Manager for the Endoscopy unit in Hobart, TAS. You will lead a multidisciplinary Endoscopy team, oversee clinical standards, and manage staffing and the unit budget within the Enterprise Agreement.

The role requires RN registration with AHPRA, at least five years of clinical leadership experience, and postgraduate qualifications or progress toward them. Collaboration with stakeholders and strong infection control are essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
• A minimum of five years' relevant clinical experience
• Postgraduate qualifications, or demonstrated progress towards postgraduate study
• Demonstrated management, organisational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to best practice
• Computer literacy
• Full Australian working rights, or 482 visa sponsorship eligibility for exceptional candidates

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the Endoscopy team
• Lead service strategy, operational planning and budget management
• Develop and performance-manage staff to build a high-performing team
• Roster staff to ensure safe staffing numbers and the right skill mix for the workload
• Lead infection prevention and control in the unit, including audits and micro-testing programmes for flexible scopes
• Meet accreditation requirements and lead the unit's work against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
