South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) invites applications for a Permanent Part Time Registered Nurse in Endoscopy at St George Hospital. The role focuses on delivering high quality nursing care within endoscopy services, aligned to NSW Health CORE values and SESLHD policies.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, support care delivery, and contribute to a culture of safety, learning and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
• Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles.
• Demonstrated recent post registration endoscopy experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the St George Hospital and Health service.
• Adhere to SESLHD and St George Hospital policies, procedures and standards.
• Support endoscopy procedures as part of the care team.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Promote patient safety and quality of care in all interactions.
