Job summary

St George Hospital, part of NSW Health, invites applications for a Permanent Part Time Registered Nurse in Endoscopy. The role coordinates and delivers high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopy within SESLHD guidelines.

The successful candidate will hold current RN registration with NMBA, demonstrate strong communication and teamwork, and have recent endoscopy experience in an acute care setting. Salary is $41.23 - $57.88 per hour plus superannuation, with 16 hours per week.

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the NMBA.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and ability to identify key messages.
• Ability to engage with patients to enhance service delivery.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional boundaries.
• Basic computer skills and experience with health information systems.
• Knowledge of risk management, safety and quality principles.
• Recent post-registration endoscopy experience in an acute care setting.

Selection Criteria

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
• Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles.
• Demonstrated recent post registration endoscopy experience in an acute care setting
