• Current registration as an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA
• Experience in general practice and/or urgent care settings
• Advanced clinical decision-making and autonomous practice

Responsabilités

• Provide autonomous, evidence-based clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment across GP and urgent care settings
• Manage acute and chronic conditions within your scope of practice
• Prescribe medications and order investigations as appropriate
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Perform minor procedures and clinical interventions as required in GP/UCC
• Collaborate with GPs, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide clinical mentoring and supervision to nursing staff
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation and records
• Contribute to quality improvement, governance and evidence-based practice
• Advocate for patient-centred, culturally sensitive care delivery

Endorsed Nurse Practitioner (NP) – General Practice & UCC

Telos Medical is seeking an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner (NP) – General Practice & Urgent Care Centre (UCC) to join our healthcare team on a full-time, part-time and casual basis in Stafford, QLD 4053. This is a clinical leadership role that combines autonomous practice in general practice and urgent care settings with the opportunity to mentor and develop nursing staff. As an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care delivery, bringing advanced clinical expertise and evidence-based practice to our services. This position is integral to expanding our capacity to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare to our diverse patient population across both general practice and urgent care environments.

Key responsibilities

Provide autonomous, evidence-based clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment across general practice and urgent care centre settings

Manage acute and chronic conditions within your scope of practice, utilising advanced clinical skills and decision-making

Prescribe medications and order investigations as appropriate, in accordance with your endorsement and legislative requirements

Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualised care plans for patients of all ages

Perform minor procedures and clinical interventions as required within the urgent care and general practice environment

Collaborate effectively with general practitioners, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Provide clinical mentoring, supervision and support to nursing and allied health staff, contributing to their professional development

Maintain meticulous clinical documentation and patient records in accordance with regulatory and organisational standards

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance and evidence-based practice within the organisation

Advocate for patients and ensure culturally sensitive, patient-centred care delivery

What we're looking for

Current registration as an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA

Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience in general practice and/or urgent care settings

Extensive knowledge of acute assessment, chronic disease management and minor injury treatment

Advanced clinical decision-making skills and ability to work autonomously within scope of practice

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams

Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice

Current knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines, standards and legislative requirements

Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of care

Desirable: experience in mentoring and supporting junior nursing staff or students
