Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Mackay is seeking an experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our Casual Nursing Pool. You will provide patient-centred care across a 24/7 roster with early, late, night and weekend shifts.

Education and training opportunities are available, plus casual loading, superannuation and salary packaging through not-for-profit benefits. Ideal candidates hold current AHPRA Enrolled Nurse registration and have experience in general surgery or similar fields.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions).
• Experience as an Enrolled Nurse in General Surgery or similar field preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to liaise with stakeholders.
• Ability to work both in a team and autonomously with initiative and good listening/decision skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

About the role

Mater Private Hospital Mackay are seeking experienced and passionate Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join our Casual Nursing Pool.

Education and training opportunities are available, as well as flexible shift opportunities. However, candidates must be available towork all shift typesacross a 24/7 roster, including early, late, night, and weekend shifts.

Salary range: $37.39 - $40.34 per hour + Casual loading +Superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing

As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty. Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:

• Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
• Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
• Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
• Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

About you

Ideally, you will have prior nursing experience, but graduates are encouraged to apply and will be considered.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:

• Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
• Prior experience as an Enrolled Nurse in General Surgery or another similar field would be highly desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with avariety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
• Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is delivered to patients at all times
