Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking an experienced State Manager to take full ownership of the South Australian transport and logistics operation. The role combines senior leadership with hands-on management across drivers, subcontractors, mechanics, warehouse and office staff.

You will oversee fleet performance, safety, compliance and customer relationships, while driving profitability and growth for the SA site within a national business.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience overseeing a site or region.
• Strong background in road transport, logistics, or heavy haulage.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse operational workforce and drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational ownership of the SA site.
• Lead drivers, subcontractors, workshop and office teams.
• Oversee fleet operations, maintenance, utilisation and performance.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and service delivery.
• Drive safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility culture.
• Monitor costs, productivity and site profitability.
• Collaborate with senior management and interstate operations.
