Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is seeking an experienced payroll professional in Bowen, Australia to own end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance and timely delivery. You will work with finance, HR and operations to drive improvements and system enhancements while supporting enterprise agreements and contracts.

The role offers hybrid work, relocation assistance, and a pathway to develop payroll processes in a fast-paced, coastal region.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory obligations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to engage with stakeholders across finance, HR and operations.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with enterprise agreements and contracts.
• Coordinate reporting for STP, WGEA and ABS surveys.
• Provide payroll reporting and analysis to support the finance function.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance payroll systems.
• Lead payroll improvement projects with key stakeholders.
• Advise and support the business on payroll-related matters.
