Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Field Project Engineer to join our on-site project delivery team in Melbourne. You will take ownership of electrical infrastructure projects, performing design, installation, testing and commissioning with a hands-on approach and strong coordination across stakeholders.

You’ll contribute to safe, compliant project delivery, manage lifecycle activities and resolve technical issues while collaborating with customers, subs, and internal teams to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' project engineering experience within the electrical industry.
• Experience in project delivery, electrical design, installation or commissioning.
• Strong stakeholder management and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex situations and prioritisation skills.
• Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support project engineering and delivery across the project lifecycle
• Prepare and manage electrical design documentation and technical submissions
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and quality assurance activities
• Support safe, compliant and high-quality site delivery
• Work closely with customers, subcontractors and internal teams
• Resolve technical issues and develop practical engineering solutions
• Manage priorities to keep project activities on track
