Job summary

Curtin University’s UniReady team is seeking a Sessional Teaching Academic to support a diverse range of students, including equity cohorts, in developing academic skills and confidence for university success.

You will deliver engaging teaching, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to learning resources, curriculum delivery, and collaborative teaching within the UniReady team, while pursuing professional development in enabling education.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with appropriate teaching experience in enabling education.
• Experience designing or delivering engaging learning experiences for diverse learners, including equity cohorts.
• Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment.
• Experience supporting enabling student learners to develop academic skills and independence.
• Excellent communication and digital literacy with the use of learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that support student success in enabling education.
• Assess student learning, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving learning outcomes.
• Develop learning resources, curriculum delivery, and collaborative teaching within the UniReady team.
• Maintain excellence in teaching through professional development and innovation.
