Job summary

Brighton Grammar School in Victoria seeks a full-time Strength and Conditioning Coach for Term 1, 2027, for 1 year with potential to continue. You will lead group fitness and conditioning across the school and community, delivering age-appropriate programs in the Annandale Gym, Swim complex and Invicta space.

You will collaborate with coaches to build a preseason and in-season plan, mentor interns, and contribute to the PE curriculum. A WWCC and national police check are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sport Science (desirable).
• Master’s Degree in Strength and Conditioning (desirable).
• ASCA Level 2 (desirable or willing to achieve within 6 months).
• Experience running Strength and Conditioning sessions for youth with knowledge of long-term athlete development, periodization, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, stimulating and age-appropriate strength and conditioning classes for students, staff and the wider community.
• Develop, plan and collaborate on pre-season and in-season strength and conditioning programs to improve athletic performance.
• Coordinate Strength & Conditioning internship placements with universities and provide mentorship and professional development.
• Design and deliver the Strength & Conditioning component of the Physical Education curriculum in alignment with school objectives.
• Maintain a tidy, hazard-free training environment.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Head of Strength & Conditioning or COO.
