Job summary

Central Queensland Christian College – North Rockhampton QLD is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teacher Aide to support classroom organisation and student progress. The successful candidate will assist with lesson planning, assessment, and reporting to parents, working under the guidance of teaching staff.

A Certificate III/IV in Education Support or willingness to obtain one is required, with a 5-day term-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Education Support or willingness to obtain one.
• Role is for 5 days a week during the School Term.

Responsibilities

• Support the organisation of classes
• Support a high standard of work amongst students
• Support the evaluation and assessment of each child’s progress, and for reporting to parents verbally and in written form
• Support the planning and teaching of the school’s curriculum at the appropriate standards for that class
• Attend staff meetings, parent / teacher meetings, interviews, worship and staff devotions
• Meet all school timelines
• Attend In-service Courses and Out of Hours School Functions as required by the College
• Be diligent with playground duties as rostered and report areas of maintenance needs to the office
• Be punctual on all occasions as far as possible, forwarding appropriate apologies when necessary
• Be responsible with confidential matters
• Be aware and supportive of College Workplace Health and Safety (OHS) requirements
• Carry out work practices in accordance with current Workplace Health and Safety requirements
