Job summary

Sync Recruitment is assisting a proudly Victorian-owned Early Childhood provider in Melbourne to appoint an Educational Leader. You will lead pedagogy, mentor staff and shape curriculum with a focus on the Reggio Emilia-inspired, emergent approach.

The role offers dedicated time off the floor for pedagogy work, with opportunities to influence practice, programming and centre culture across the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in an Educational Leader position.
• Diploma or ACECQA-approved qualification.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and Child Safe Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and empower educators to foster a collaborative team.
• Develop innovative, play-based learning programs reflecting children’s interests.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, creative and passionate Educational Leader who is ready to make an impact and help take this Centre to Exceeding.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role with dedicated time off the floor to focus on pedagogy, curriculum and supporting your team.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Developing high-quality early learning programs
• Supporting compliance and continuous improvement
• Mentoring and inspiring educators
• Role modelling best-practice teaching
• Supporting educators with their programming and planning
• Building a positive and collaborative Centre culture

Key Responsibilities

• Develop programs that reflect children’s interests and developmental needs
• Provide coaching, professional development and constructive feedback
• Support educators to build confidence and strengthen their practice

Build Strong Relationships

• Develop meaningful relationships with children and families
• Create opportunities for meaningful family and community engagement
• Reflect on and evaluate educational practices
• Support the team to continuously improve the quality of education and care

About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about pedagogy, enjoys working alongside educators and is confident bringing fresh ideas to the table.

You’ll have:

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in an Educational Leader position
• Diploma or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and Child Safe Standards
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates
• A genuine passion for quality early childhood education
