Job summary

Ability Options is seeking experienced Support Workers to join the Accommodation Services team at Quakers Hill and Marayong, NSW, with some travel across sites. This permanent part-time role includes sleepover shifts and a focus on supporting participants living with disabilities.

You will work with the team to provide person-centred care, assist with daily living activities, transport participants, and complete progress notes.

Qualifications

Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential setting.
High level of resilience and emotional intelligence.
Strong communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of alternate and augmentative communication, particularly active listening.
Certificate 3 in Individual Support or related (desirable).
Personal mobile device meeting system requirements (last three years).
Satisfactory background checks including NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).
Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR (HLTAID011).

Responsibilities

Help participants explore their interests and hobbies through programs and activities.
Transport participants to events and appointments.
Admin duties such as progress notes, charts and incidental reports.
Provide personal care including toileting, showering, dressing and feeding as required.
