VMCH is seeking empathetic Disability Support Workers to deliver high-quality care and support for clients in our community programs and direct care services. You will help with activities of daily living while honoring individual choices within the community.

Roles cover direct care, group activities, and development of support plans, requiring certificates in disability support, strong communication, and a commitment to person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent.
• Experience and knowledge in the Disability sector.
• Respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families.
• Person-centred approach to providing care and services.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patience and sensitivity.
• Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children’s Check.

Responsabilités

• Support clients to reach their goals through direct and group activities including community access.
• Provide individual personal care services.
• Perform domestic duties such as cleaning, shopping and cooking.
• Assist in developing, reviewing and updating client-focused support plans.
