Job summary

Murrumbidgee Local Health District in Cootamundra is seeking a Registered Midwife to provide safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care across pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period, in partnership with women, families and a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers a remuneration range of AU$81,748.17 to AU$114,771.98 per annum, pro rata for part-time work, with 12% superannuation, annual leave loading and NSW Rural Health incentives including relocation considerations and sign-on

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
• Ability to deliver safe, evidence-based, woman-centred midwifery care.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement in a rural healthcare setting.
• Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel.
• Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality midwifery care to women throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans in partnership with women and their families.
• Monitor and respond to changes in a woman's condition, ensuring timely intervention and effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Deliver education and support that enables women and families to make informed decisions about their care and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance midwifery care and outcomes.
