Job summary

MyHR is hiring an HR Advisor in Brisbane to provide practical, compliant employment relations guidance and end-to-end ER support for our clients. You will resolve workplace issues, ensure accurate risk assessment, and advise on entitlements under the Fair Work Act.

Bring 3+ years in HR/ER, strong law knowledge, and excellent written communication. You will work across multiple cases, maintaining detailed notes and leveraging MyHR software to drive effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in employment relations, HR or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and ER processes.
• Experience managing disciplinary, performance, investigation and termination processes.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer employment relations queries, providing clear, practical written and verbal guidance
• Advise clients on Award coverage, classifications, minimum entitlements and compliance obligations under the Fair Work Act
• Manage end-to-end ER processes including: misconduct and serious misconduct, poor performance and performance improvement processes, disciplinary processes and dismissals, restructures, redeployment and redundancy, probationary periods, medical incapacity and other termination scenarios
• Draft high-quality documentation including employment contracts, letters, warnings, and termination documentation
• Clearly outline risks, options, and recommended approaches to ensure informed decision-making
• Maintain accurate and detailed case notes within MyHR systems
• Champion the effective use of MyHR software, including performance reviews, documentation tools, notes, and automation features
• Guide customers on best-practice performance management and onboarding processes
• Ensure every client interaction is clear, practical, and aligned with MyHR values
• Handle customer concerns professionally and proactively resolve issues where possible
• Stay up to date with employment law, case law, and emerging risks
• Follow the MyHR way and internal processes to ensure consistency and quality
• Contribute to continuous improvement of ER templates, workflows, and systems
