Job summary

Montgomery Advisory is seeking an Employment Lawyer to join its Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team in Sydney. The role focuses on advising major corporate and government clients on complex matters, with exposure to both contentious and non-contentious work and direct partner access.

You will work closely with senior lawyers on disputes, investigations and advisory matters, with opportunities for client secondments, business development and professional development in a leading

Qualifications

• 2–4 years post-admission experience in employment law and workplace relations.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent technical legal skills.
• Experience advising on employment disputes, workplace investigations and complex advisory matters.
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with sound commercial judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a Partner and experienced workplace lawyers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for major international corporations, ASX 200 companies, government bodies and leading private sector organisations.
• Advise on complex employment disputes, strategic workplace issues, whistleblowing, workplace investigations and advisory matters.
• Gain exposure to work health and safety, industrial relations and modern slavery matters.
• Develop expertise in a market-leading practice with direct client exposure, mentoring and opportunities for client secondments and business development.
