Sureway Employment and Training is seeking an Employment Consultant to support a caseload of participants, promoting inclusive employment pathways in West Wyalong. You will partner with people with a disability, build confidence, and connect them with employers to achieve sustainable outcomes.

You don’t need direct industry experience but you must be curious, proactive, and capable of building strong community relationships.

Sureway Employment and Training – West Wyalong NSW

Permanent part-timeposition (working 2-3 days a week), at Sureway West Wyalong site.

About the Role

You don’t wait for opportunities, you create them.

As an Employment Consultant, you will support your caseload of participants to take ownership of their journey to work. You will build relationships, identify opportunities, and actively connect participants with employers.

You will partner with people with a disability to understand their goals, build their confidence and skills, and actively connect them with employers. Success in this role comes from your ability to engage people, stay organised, and keep momentum especially when things get challenging.

You don’t need direct industry experience, but you do need to be curious, proactive, and willing to learn quickly. We’re looking for people who come prepared, take initiative, and back themselves to build strong relationships in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working one-on-one with participants to set clear employment goals and action plans

Actively building relationships with local employers to create job opportunities

Promoting participants’ strengths and matching them to suitable roles

Supporting participants before and after placement to ensure sustainable employment

Identifying barriers and coordinating support services or training where needed

Managing your own caseload, priorities, and follow-ups to keep things moving

Maintaining accurate records and meeting program compliance requirements

Representing Sureway in the local community to build awareness and connections
