Job summary

Citation Group is seeking a Consultant to advise on employment relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR) for a diverse client base. You will speak with clients, review contracts and policies, and manage employment issues such as restructures and terminations.

You will build deep client relationships, contribute to high‑quality advice, and join a high‑performing, fast‑paced team that values collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience providing advice and consultation on workplace relations matters.
• Knowledge of Australian employment law and Modern Award framework.
• Pragmatic and commercial approach to advising clients.
• Formal qualifications in Law or HR are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage ER and IR issues for clients.
• Speak to clients over the phone and review/draft contracts and policies.
• Case manage employment matters including restructures and redundancies.
• Build and nurture deep client relationships.

The Role

As a Consultant you will be called on to manage our clients’ ER and IR issues. You will be speaking to clients over the phone, reviewing/drafting contracts and policies, case managing employment issues such as restructures and redundancies, disciplinary processes and terminations and much more. You will nurture deep relationships with our clients and become a critical part of their success.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for candidates with the following:-

• 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role providing advice and consultation on workplace relations matters (including in-house HR Business Partners)
• Knowledge of Australian employment law and Modern Award framework
• A pragmatic and commercial approach to providing advice (both written and verbally)
• Formal qualifications in Law or HR is desirable
• Ability to work in a fast paced and client-centric environment
• Self-motivated with a desire to be the best practitioner you can be
