Job summary
Boeing Defence Australia seeks an Electromagnetic Effects Test Engineer to conduct EMI/EMC testing at the Boeing Test Facility in Wacol. You will verify customer requirements and improve test procedures across defence and commercial programs while working with RF instrumentation and automated test software.
The role requires a tertiary engineering degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, with desirable MIL-STD-461/464 knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- 2+ years' experience applying engineering practices, standards and regulations.
- Desirable MIL-STD-461/464 knowledge.
- Desirable ISO/IEC 17025 knowledge.
- Previous EMI/EMC test experience in a lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EMI/EMC test and verification against customer requirements across defence and commercial programs.
- Improve EMI/EMC test procedures and work instructions.
- Operate EMC test equipment and RF instrumentation (network/spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, amplifiers).
- Use automated test software to perform tests, collect data and produce reports.
- Perform testing in semi-anechoic chambers and shielded rooms.
- Adhere to MIL-STD-461 configurations for emissions and susceptibility testing.
