SASH Perth is opening a new 24-hour Specialist & Emergency Hospital in East Perth. We are seeking Emergency Veterinarians for permanent full-time or part-time roles, including 3-4 x 10-hour overnight shifts.

The team will feature ECC, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Advanced Imaging, supported by experienced clinicians and a shared roster. Ideal candidates have at least two years in emergency practice and are confident managing overnight cases.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in emergency practice.
• Comfortable working overnight shifts within a busy ECC team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to canine and feline patients.
• Triage and stabilise cases with nursing and on-site support overnight.
• Communicate with clients and coordinate care with the ECC team.
• Assist in ongoing case management and escalation when needed.

The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) is bringing specialist-led emergency and referral care to Western Australia. Opening in November and located in East Perth, SASH Perth is a purpose-built Specialist and Emergency hospital offering our clients with 24/7 veterinary care.

From day one, our multidisciplinary team will include Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery and Advanced Imaging, creating a collaborative environment where exceptional patient care and continuous learning go hand in hand.

As we continue to build our service ahead of opening, we are looking for an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our team. We have Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available and would be especially interested in experienced Emergency Veterinarians who are confident working overnight shifts and thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment.

This role could be the right fit if you:

• Have at least two years' experience in emergency practice and are confident managing overnight cases with the support of a highly skilled nursing team and another veterinarian on-site until the early hours.
• Want to work within a fair, genuinely shared 24/7 roster, where overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts are distributed across the team.
• Enjoy the variety and pace of emergency medicine, from triage and stabilisation through to client communication and ongoing case management.
• Are confident recognising when a case requires escalation and value working within a collaborative specialist environment.
• Want to continue developing your skills through exposure to complex emergency and critical care cases, supported by experienced ECC clinicians.
