Job summary

Corporate Protection Australia is seeking an experienced Emergency Services Team Leader to guide a high-performing mine emergency response team in Queensland. The role blends frontline emergency response with operational leadership, focusing on safety, preparedness and team capability.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain: Cert III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue; Cert II Security Operations; QLD Security Licence (Monitoring, Unarmed & Crowd Control); Advanced First Aid/Resuscitation; Standard 11; MR Driver Licence; Coal Board Medical.
• Security experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Emergency Response Team during routine operations and emergencies.
• Coordinate emergency response training and exercises.
• Provide operational leadership during incidents.
• Supervise daily workforce deployment, reporting and emergency readiness.
• Respond to medical, fire, rescue and security incidents as required.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Lead One of Queensland’s Premier Mine Emergency Response Teams

• Salary Package: Approx $172,000.00 per annum (Inclusive Base $148,000 + Super + Allowances + Retention Bonus)
• 14 Days On / 14 Days Off lifestyle roster
• FIFO from Rockhampton or Townsville (with regional incentive)
• FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns, or other locations negotiated (with no regional incentive)
• Regional Lifestyle Incentive of up to $5,000 per annum for eligible Townsville and Rockhampton residents
• Retention Bonus of $5,000 per annum
• Leadership development, ongoing operational training and genuine career progression into Emergency Services Supervisor and Operational Management roles
• Work with one of Queensland’s premier mine emergency response teams

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• We’re looking for experienced emergency response professionals. Applicants should ideally hold or be able to obtain:
• Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (or equivalent emergency response experience).
• Certificate II in Security Operations
• QLD Security Licence (Monitoring, Unarmed & Crowd Control)
• Current Advanced First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation.
• Current Standard 11
• Current Manual MR Driver Licence.
• Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain).
• Security experience is advantageous but not essential.
