Job summary

MSS Security is seeking an experienced Emergency Services Team Leader to run a site-based Emergency Response Team within a dynamic resource environment. You will oversee readiness, incident response, and continuous improvement across all emergency systems, equipment, and personnel, partnering with site stakeholders to ensure compliance and safe operations.

The role demands leadership in mine rescue, ERT, or heavy industry emergency services, with relevant certifications and a strong safety

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in emergency response and rescue or related firefighting/ER qualifications.
• Experience in Emergency Services, ERT or Mine Rescue within heavy industry.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in emergency response operations.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications; advanced first aid and resuscitation qualifications.
• MR Licence or higher and ability to meet pre-employment medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Emergency Response Team during incidents with strong command and coordination.
• Act as first response during call outs and manage incident outcomes.
• Coordinate site rescue functions and return-to-operations support.
• Deliver rescue operations including confined spaces and working at heights.
• Mentor Emergency Services Officers to maintain a capable response team.
• Oversee emergency systems, readiness, and compliance with site/legislation.
• Support HSE activities, risk assessments, inspections, and audits.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders for compliance.
• Drive safety culture and continuous improvement in emergency readiness.
