Job summary

Fire & Safety Australia is seeking experienced Emergency Services Officers for Blackwater and Daunia, Queensland. Roles are DIDO or FIFO with a 7:7 roster on 12-hour days, supporting a coal mining client.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's Licence - C Class Manual Open.
• Valid Driver's Licence - HR Class Manual Open.
• QLD Security Licence (Unarmed & CCTV) (Blackwater).
• Coal Board Medical - Rescue.
• Immunisations - Tetanus, Hep A & B.
• Standard 11 - Generic Induction Coal Surface.
• Provide Advanced First Aid HLTAID014 or equivalent.
• Provide Advanced CPR & Oxygen Therapy HLTAID015 or equivalent.
• Operate Breathing Apparatus Open Circuit PUAFIR207B or equivalent.
• Identify, Detect and Monitor Hazardous Materials at an Incident PUAFIR316 or equivalent.
• Render Hazardous Material Incidents Safe PUAFIR324 or equivalent.
• Road Crash Rescue PUASAR24A or equivalent.
• Vertical Rescue PUASAR032A or equivalent.
• Confined Space Rescue PUASAR025A or equivalent.
• Fire Team Operations RIIERR201D or equivalent.
• Respond to Local Emergencies and Incidents RIIERR302D or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete all tasks under the Site Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
• Respond to site emergencies per Site Emergency Response Plan.
• Inspect security, emergency response, and medical equipment to maintain readiness.
• Monitor stock levels of supplies and escalate shortages to supervisor.
• Conduct fitness for work drug and alcohol testing at shift changes and as directed.
• Maintain accurate records of events and incidents and meet reporting timeframes.
• Participate in emergency response and evacuation drills to maintain readiness.
• Assist in review and approval of emergency response plans for high-risk activities.
• Support ongoing development of site security, emergency response, and medical services."
• Undertake other duties as reasonably requested.
