Job summary

Mornington Island ED nursing contract offers a unique rural experience in remote Queensland. Immediate start for a 6-week assignment with travel and accommodation arranged.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and nursing credentials.
• Emergency Department nursing experience required.
• Triage and resuscitation skills essential.
• Experience as a team leader in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Rural/remote healthcare experience is preferred.

We are urgently seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 6-week contract on Mornington Island, Queensland, commencing 14 September.

About the Role

As an ED RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency care in a remote setting. The successful candidate will be confident working autonomously and possess strong clinical decision‑making skills.

• Resuscitation competent
• Team Leader experience/competency
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Previous rural and remote experience highly regarded
