Job summary

Genea Canberra has a full-time Embryologist role within our scientific team. You will contribute across Andrology, Endocrinology and Embryology, coordinating with Canberra's sperm bank.

The successful candidate will perform clinical Embryology services, including gamete/embryo handling, diagnostic procedures, PGT, and patient communication, powered by our leading outcomes and supportive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Embryologist in a fertility laboratory
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a small, skilled team with patient contact

  • Manual handling of gametes and embryos
  • Diagnostic Andrology procedures
  • Pre-implantation testing (PGT) including embryo hatching, biopsy and tissue handling
  • Laboratory maintenance including equipment checks and stock management

Job Description

Genea Canberra has experienced significant growth and our team is expanding! We currently have a full-time position available for an Embryologistto join our scientific team.The position offers a wide range of responsibilities across Andrology, Endocrinology and Embryology. Canberrascientists also coordinate a sperm bank.

This role will see you performing all aspects of clinical Embryology services and diagnostic procedures in the laboratory. As an Embryologist your scope of work will include;

  • Manual handling of gametes and embryos
  • Diagnostic Andrology procedures
  • Pre-implantation Testing(PGT) including embryo hatching, biopsy and tissue handling
  • Laboratory maintenance including equipment checks, maintaining stock and maintenance
  • Communicating directly with patients and maintaining accurate records

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Embryologistfor this role - experience in a fertility laboratory is essential. You will have an excellentattention to detail and a strongwork ethic.

The ability to work as part of a small, skilled team is essential. This role has considerable patient contact, requiring excellent communication skills, and you must have a real commitment toproviding excellent patient care
