Job summary

DTC | A Codan company is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will develop software powering our next generation tactical communications products on embedded Linux and RTOS platforms.

You will write robust C/C++ code, debug on hardware, and contribute across the product lifecycle. The role involves collaboration with hardware teams and ongoing architecture modernisation in Mawson Lakes, with onsite facilities and parking.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Software/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing embedded software for hardware products.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills for embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for advanced communications products.
• Develop software for Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms.
• Write robust, maintainable C and C++ code for embedded systems.
• Debug software on embedded hardware and support integration activities.
• Develop networking functionality and communications protocols for devices.
• Collaborate with Electronics, RF and Systems Engineers to deliver solutions.
• Participate in design/code reviews and investigations.
• Support software verification, testing and continuous improvement.
