Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related discipline.
• Commercial software application development background.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python for app and test software development.
• Knowledge of Agile development environments.
• Understanding of software design, code reviews, debugging and testing.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira or Confluence.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and automated build environments.
• Ability to translate customer and product requirements into technical solutions.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software applications.
• Deliver automated and manual verification against functional and performance requirements.
• Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions.
• Document software designs, implementation decisions, and test outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and customer-reported issues.
• Partner with software, hardware, systems, and quality engineering teams.
• Deliver reliable software within agreed project timelines.
• Improve development processes, tools, and engineering practices.
• Balance competing priorities while creating value for stakeholders.
• Take ownership of tasks and occasionally lead smaller workstreams.
