Job summary

Resmed in Sydney is seeking a Software Engineer II, Devices Software to design, develop and test embedded software for medical devices used in diagnosis and monitoring. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related discipline.
• Commercial software application development background.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python for app and test software development.
• Knowledge of Agile development environments.
• Understanding of software design, code reviews, debugging and testing.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira or Confluence.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and automated build environments.
• Ability to translate customer and product requirements into technical solutions.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

What You Bring

• A bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical knowledge

• Understanding of software design, code reviews, debugging, and testing
• Familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, or Confluence

Nice to Have

• 3+ years developing embedded C/C++ software using object-oriented programming
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub workflow actions
• Exposure to medical devices, healthcare, or another regulated industry
• Experience with Test-Driven Development and automated testing methodologies
