Job summary

Rheem is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Sydney R&D team. You will design and develop embedded software for connected water heating products, contributing to architectures and driving testing, validation and deployment across the product lifecycle.

You will work with RTOS, embedded Linux, OTA firmware updates, Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth, and cloud IoT platforms, collaborating with hardware and software teams to deliver reliable, scalable connected solutions.

Qualifications

Experience in embedded software development across product lifecycles.
Knowledge of RTOS and embedded system architectures.
Experience with Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth technologies.
Understanding of serial protocols RS232, RS485, I2C and SPI.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
Experience with embedded Linux development.
Experience with OTA firmware updates.
Background in mechatronics or electronics.

Responsibilities

Implement and test software modules.

The role
