Job summary

Hargrave Technologies is seeking a Firmware Engineer to bridge hardware and software teams, building high-performance embedded systems for mission-critical applications. You will work on physical products and real-world deployments, contributing from design through validation and delivery.

You will engage in debugging, testing and optimization to enhance reliability and performance in demanding environments.

Qualifications

Experience with embedded C and Python tooling for firmware build processes.
Design of bare-metal and embedded firmware architectures.
Development of drivers and HALs for sensors, memory and comms interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN).
Collaboration with hardware engineers during prototype development and validation.
Ability to debug with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and multimeters; use JTAG/SWD for debugging.
Investigate firmware bugs and field failures; improve reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

Bridge between hardware and software teams to deliver high-performance embedded systems.
Lead firmware decisions from concept through validation and delivery.
Take ownership of debugging, testing and final product quality.
