Job summary

TL Engineering in Hazelmere, WA, is seeking an HV Fabricator to build and assemble heavy vehicle bodies, subframes and structural assemblies from drawings. You’ll work with a skilled team, using grinders, CNC routers, plasma cutters and overhead cranes to deliver high‑quality builds on time.

You’ll read technical drawings, apply protective coatings, and customise bodies to meet client specs while maintaining WHS standards and accurate production records in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in welding/fabrication or automotive body building
• Strong welding and metal fabrication skills across structural work
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specs
• Knowledge of WHS standards and safe workshop practices

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble heavy vehicle bodies, truck bodies, subframes, and structural assemblies to drawings and specs
• Fit and secure subframes, trays, body accessories, and structural elements
• Fabricate body parts through cutting, shaping, and welding of metals and other materials
• Operate workshop machinery including grinders, drills, press brake, CNC router, plasma cutter, and overhead crane
• Diagnose structural issues and perform repairs to ensure safety and quality
• Customise and modify vehicle bodies to meet client requirements
• Inspect builds against quality and safety standards and log progress
