St Leonard’s College in Melbourne invites applications for a Head Coach of Aesthetic Sports. This permanent part-time role (22.5 hours per week) combines hands-on coaching with program leadership to develop engaging training and competitive pathways for students of varied ages and abilities.

The role requires Level 3 Cheer credentials, Advanced Gymnastics Australia coaching, and knowledge of AASCF, TFT and GV rules, with a focus on safe progressions and student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Cheer Level 3 credentials required with experience coaching squads to Level 3
• Advanced Gymnastics Australia coach accreditation or higher
• Strong knowledge of AASCF, TFT and Gymnastics Victoria rules
• Experience in motor skill development and safe teaching progressions
• Ability to lead and develop coaches and run programs for mixed ages and abilities
• Experience in school environments preferred
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with students, parents and staff
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Diabetes Level 2 or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the College’s Aesthetic Sports Program
• Develop engaging training programs and prepare teams for competition
• Support pathways for emerging and elite athletes
• Collaborate with coaches, teaching staff and cocurricular team
• Inspire students to build skills and enjoy meaningful experiences
• Provide consistent coaching and program leadership across term terms
• Attend competitions, including some evenings and weekends
