Job summary

Quantum Tech Services Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based electronics manufacturing company in Peakhurst, is seeking an Electronics Technician for a permanent, full-time role. You will perform testing, fault-finding, assembly, and QA across electronic products and assemblies, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, reading schematics, soldering PCB components, setting up equipment, and supporting engineers with prototyping and design changes, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electronics, Electronic Engineering or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years of full-time experience as an Electronics Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills at component and board level.
• Proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience with soldering and PCB assembly/rework, including surface-mount components.

• Perform functional and quality testing of manufactured products to make sure they meet specifications and standards.
• Assemble, solder and rework through-hole and surface-mount components to required quality standards.
• Set up, calibrate and maintain production and test equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, circuit diagrams, bills of materials, technical drawings and specifications.
• Assist engineers with prototyping, product development and design modifications.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to production processes and product reliability.
• Prepare test reports, quality records, fault logs and technical documentation.
• Estimate the materials and time needed for jobs, and help monitor stock of components and parts.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, quality procedures and WHS requirements.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will provide technical support across our manufacturing operations, including the assembly, testing, fault-finding, repair and quality assurance of electronic products and assemblies.

Key responsibilities
