Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Electronic Engineering or related discipline (Diploma or higher).
• Minimum one year of relevant experience in electronic testing and calibration.
• Experience reading schematics and technical documentation.

• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Electronic Engineering Technician to support the development, testing, calibration, repair and ongoing technical performance of our specialised electronic testing and diagnostic equipment. Task & responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of technical drawings, system layouts, specifications and documentation for electronic testing and measurement equipment.
• Develop, assemble, construct and test electronic equipment, printed circuit board assemblies and associated circuitry in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Install, commission, calibrate, verify, repair and modify electronic instruments and specialised diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct fault-finding, troubleshooting and component-level repairs using electronic testing instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Record, analyse and graph testing, calibration and performance results and maintain accurate technical records.
• Evaluate the operational performance, accuracy and reliability of electronic products and testing systems.
• Assist in prototype development, product improvement and validation activities.
• Inspect electronic assemblies, equipment and finished products to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality requirements and applicable standards.
• Assist with estimating material requirements and component quantities for manufacturing and repair activities.
• Support manufacturing, engineering and after-sales service teams with technical advice and product-related investigations.
• Maintain compliance with company quality systems, calibration procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electronics Technology or related discipline (Diploma or higher qualification).
• Minimum one year of relevant experience in a related field
• Experience in testing, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Experience using electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators or related diagnostic instruments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams.

Desirable

• Experience in automotive diagnostic, testing, measurement or calibration equipment.
• Experience in manufacturing, product testing, quality assurance or engineering support environments.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, quality systems or laboratory/calibration environments.
