Job summary

Dash Symons Systems on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Security Technician to install, commission and service a range of security and technology systems for diverse clients.

You will work across installation, commissioning, servicing and fault finding on CCTV, access control, intercoms, fibre optics and networked devices, in commercial and residential settings. Company vehicle and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Driver Licence.
• White Card.
• Blue Card.
• Open Cabling Registration.
• Security Licence (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Configure gate automation and intruder alarms.

About the Role

We're growing our team and are looking for an experienced Security Technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys delivering quality outcomes for clients.

You’ll work across installation, commissioning, servicing and fault finding on a wide range of security and technology systems.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Your day could include

• CCTV installations and commissioning
• Access control systems
• Intercom systems
• Gate automation
• Intruder alarm systems
• Data and communications cabling
• Fibre optic installations
• Network and IP device configuration
• Fault finding and servicing existing systems
• Working alongside our electrical team on integrated projects

We're looking for someone with experience in some or all of the following

• Electronic security systems
• IP CCTV
• Access control
• Intercom systems
• Structured cabling
• Fibre optic installations
• Basic networking and IT
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• System commissioning
• Customer-facing service work

Experience with systems such as Integriti, Hikvision, Milestone, Nx Witness, UniFi, Ajax, SALTO, Akuvox, Aiphone or similar will be highly regarded.
