Job summary

Rosebank Engineering, a proud Australian sovereign defence and advanced manufacturing company, seeks two motivated Electrical & Mechanical Assemblers. You will assemble electromechanical components, perform wiring and testing, and work within a safety-focused, quality-driven team.

This role supports ASDAM Group activities across design, engineering and sustainment, contributing to aviation and defence programs with precision and care.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified or higher in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Electrical, Electro-mechanical trade qualification preferred.
• Experience in electrical wiring and mechanical/assembly.
• Able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and SOPs.
• Proficient in using measuring tools like Vernier calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components including stators, rotors, windings, housings and hardware.
• Perform wiring, soldering and electrical interconnection tasks per drawings.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and work instructions.
• Conduct basic functional testing including insulation resistance and continuity checks.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and safety.

The role responsibilities include:

• Assemble various components including stators, rotors, windings, housings, and hardware.
• Perform wiring, soldering, and electrical interconnection tasks per engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and work instructions.
• Conduct basic functional testing including insulation resistance and continuity checks.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and safety
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes Experienced in using measuring equipment including Verniers, Micrometers etc
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage your own time and complete tasks efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill

Desired Skills and Experience

Required skills, experience and qualifications:

• A trade qualification or higher in Engineering or Manufacturing – preferable or Trade qualification in Electrical, Electro-mechanical, or similar field
• Proven experience in Electrical wiring and component assembly or Mechanical assembly and fabrication
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and SOPs.
• Familiarity with precision torqueing, alignment, and assembly tools.
• Ability to perform basic electrical tests (multimeter, megger, etc.).
• Ability to use a range of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of panel wiring, switchboards, or electrical control systems
• Computer literacy with regards to understanding of 3D models and extraction of key data to support production
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments (Highly Desirable)
• Dual-trade background (Electrical + Mechanical) is a bonus
